Hello Friends,
I will be teaching a class in person centered care for individuals living with dementia. Students will learn the stages of the disease and how the care can change to meet the persons requirements. If you are a caregiver or if you are a community friend consider taking this course to enhance your ability to help the person living with memory loss.
The course is designed for family caregivers, community friends and professionals with a desire to learn Best Practices in person-centered care.
Gail Sonnesso, MS, Qualified Dementia Care Specialist has worked with people living with dementia and their caregivers for over 30 years and has witnessed and the growth in knowledge about care.

This 14 hour course will be offered on Wednesdays September 3,10,17,24, at Sentara Kitty Hawk in their community education center The practicum will take place at The Dare County Center in Manteo on October 1, from 10 -12 noon.
The cost for this course is $85.00 and includes a workbook and DVD.
