The GEM Club welcomes Dr. Christine Petzing at our September 11th meeting

Dr. Christine Petzing, Dare Home Health & Dare Hospice Medical Director, was
recently recognized as the Physician of the Year.
Also this year Hospitalist Dr. Christine Petzing has been appointed to a
three-year term on the board of directors of The Outer Banks Hospital.
Petzing moved to the Outer Banks in 2010 to accept a position as a
hospitalist with the hospital. Previously, she worked in a family practice
in Galesburg, Ill., for eight years.

Dr. Petzing and Cathy Pfendler, RN partnered with GEM's Gail Sonnesso, MS,
and Qualified Dementia Care Specialist in developing a four page document
titled "ALL ABOUT ME" enabling people with dementia, their families and
hospital staff to have an enhanced hospital experience.

Join us for lunch on your own and an opportunity to learn from Dr. Petzing
in a small group how to prepare for, what to bring and other tips in
designing a loved one's trip to the hospital and ensure that it will be a
positive experience for all.
The GEM Club meets at the Players Grille at the Nags Head Golf Links (sound
side) at 11:30 on Thursday September 11th.
Please contact Gail Sonnesso at 252-480-3354 to let us know that you are
coming enabling us to ensure seating.
