Sunday Service

Home is Where They Have to Take You In (Discussion Sunday)

Clint Betz

Sunday, March 18, 2012, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Meetinghouse

“Home is the place where, when you have to go there, they have to take you in.” - Robert Frost

You may recall Clint's Sunday service last summer, “A is For. . . . . .” which turned out to be “A is for Alzheimer's”.  Given the inevitable, Clint has been in the process of intentionally planning the next phase of his life.  Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh said , “If we just act in each moment with composure and mindfulness, each minute of our life is a work of art.”  Clint's journey begs the question how we might each make our lives a work of art at any phase along the way.

Please join us if you can. Clint is open about the fact that he has alz and eloquent when he talks of his path.

My best,

Gail E Sonnesso M.S.

Healing Harmonies Music Therapy

Music therapy... using music to calm and heal … cannot slow or reverse dementia. But it may improve quality of life for both a person with Alzheimer's disease and their care partner. Clinical reports suggest that music therapy may reduce wandering and restlessness and increase chemicals in the brain that promote sleep and ease anxiety. Mood also got better after listening to the music. Angelo knows these benefits well as he has worked at many a nursing home and transformed   Chaos into   serenity. Ask us about “Healing Harmonies.” One way to bring music to your loved one at home. To learn more  go to:
