John Mullen, M.D., The Baum Center and The G.E.M. Center will offer a workshop about diagnostic and prevention techniques for ALZ and other dementias.
Dr. Mullen will discuss the importance of early diagnosis and the role of the Caregiver. Dr. Mullen retired to the Outer Banks after a career as an orthopedic surgeon. From 2003- 2011 He worked first in St. Mary's and then St. Josephs Hospital; Level II trauma center and was on call for orthopedic and emergency surgery. During his career Dr. Mullen cared for his patients after surgery and observed confusion in the patient after surgery.
Discussion of current trends in brain health and prevention based on the informative book by Gary Small, M.D. "Alzheimer's Prevention Program will be shared."
